Fire Regulations  
Each year Council adopts a Firebreak Order which is distributed with all Rates Notices. Additional copies are available from the Shire Offices and Library. The Firebreak Order is reviewed and updated annually by the Bush Fires Management Committee and therefore it is important that landowners and occupiers are aware of the content of the Firebreak Order.

Tuesdays in Greenbushes & North Greenbushes townsites only
Waste Transfer Station at Greenbushes
Saturdays only 9am –12:30pm and 1pm – 3pm
Last Saturday of each month: Green Waste, white goods and larger household items
Recycling at Greenbushes
Community Co-Mingled Recycling Station is located adjacent to the Greenbushes Primary School on Blackwood Road.
Bridgetown Tip
Monday - Friday 7:30am –12pm
Saturdays and Sundays 9am-4pm.
Electoral Information
A large portion of the Shire comes under the State Electorate of Blackwood-Stirling. The current member is Hon Terry Redman. Bridgetown and Greenbushes are in the Federal seat of Forrest. The current member is Nola Marino MP.

Residents who are currently not on the Electoral Roll may collect a form from the Post Office. When an enrolment is accepted by the Australian Electoral Commission the elector will be notified by mail. When an elector has been accepted for enrolment their enrolment will automatically be placed on the Federal, State and Local Government rolls for the address where they reside. If an elector owns property in an area different to where they reside they may apply to the particular Local Government to be enrolled on the 'Owners & Occupiers' roll.

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes has a variety of sporting venues, parks, reserves and walk trails. Barbecues are located in the Memorial Park and the Blackwood River Park.  Public toilets are located at the Greater Sportsground, Civic Centre, Memorial Park and Blackwood River Park in Bridgetown and at Road Board office, Thomson Park and Sports Complex in Greenbushes.
